On her way to Chicago from LA, where she’ll meet up with her sister Kim for the kick off of their new Kardashian Home Kollection for Sears and then onto New York for the opening of sister Kourtney’s boyfriend, Scott Disick’s, new restaurant, Khloe reports the family, including hubby Lamar Odom, is going to meet up to spend some time and have a fun family weekend, making it sound as if it is a weekend in the country after a twister week of appearances.
Since the reality TV blow out of the Kardashian family in 2008, it is the type of life the family has become accustomed to. Each of the members cross-promote each of the siblings in whatever their undertakings are as if it was their own. Khloe reveals how important she thinks it is, as she likes to promote her own brand as part of the groups venture of the family.
In a tough year when critics have crucified Kim as they say she self-promoted herself with the bogus marriage to Chris Humphries, Khloe has been grounded in her position as the most level-headed business mind of the three. Kim might just be the reigning top face of the family, but insiders close to the family say Khloe has the most business smarts and is the rock behind some of the family’s largest financially prosperous moves. Many believe she will be the lone star of the Kardashians after the reality TV dust settles on the rest.
This being the case, Khloe is off to a great start as she is listed as number 73 as her first year on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. While Khloe has a strong role as a rock in the Kardashian company, her participation beyond the 2012 launch of the Sears line, includes the opening of a new location of their boutique, DASH, a novelty shop, Kardashian Khaos in Las Vegas’s Mirage Resort, the sale of millions in K-DASH for QVC and a $40 million deal landed with E! – Khloe is the foundation of it all. This year alone, Khloe pulled in nearly $11 million with her perfume line and her own reality show, “Khloe and Lamar” with hubby Lamar Odom.
Kardashian business partner on the Kardashian Kollection, Bruno Schiavi, says he knew Khloe meant business when he first met her as they worked out the details of the Sears line. Schiavi has a long business history with branded products and private labels of big names and says that the very second he met Khloe, he realized she was a woman who knew what she wanted and was an extremely driven person.
Bruno goes on to say that Khloe’s attention to detail is impeccable as she knows she wants – a line of clothing that will fit her curves and there’s a good reason for that. With sisters Kim and Kourtney under five foot three inches tall, Khloe stands a gigantic five foot ten inches barefoot. She’s a size eight as her sisters are only 3’s and 4’s and fit for the grounded Kardashian is an important aspect of the line. With each sister having their own fit model proportioned to their own body, he says Khloe is constantly tweaking to ensure each one is perfect as she keeps with her usual detail-orientation.
